Chapter 1062: A Touching Friendship
Chapter 1062: A Touching Friendship
The store clerks, Tanya and Shannon, were thrilled to see Adrian Lancaster and then looked at the woman in his embrace!
She bore some resemblance to the Faye Turner of old, although there were some changes, she was still stunningly beautiful.
They had seen the news early! A while ago, they were photographed shopping at the supermarket together, and it trended for quite a while.
She is Faye Turner!
Faye Turner is back!!
The two clerks quickly rounded the counter, joyfully rushing toward her—
"Faye! You finally came!!" Having not seen her for three months, they hugged her in one swoop, "We’ve missed you so much! We’ve missed you dearly!"
The two girls hugged her, and Faye instinctively reached out to embrace them, turning the trio into a bundle of hugs.
"You finally came back! Do you know how worried we were about you?"
"When we saw the news that you were alive, we were so excited we didn’t sleep all night!"
"I couldn’t help much in the search for you, but I’ve truly been worried all this time," Shannon tightly gripped her hand, tears of excitement in her eyes.
Tanya added, "We really missed you and hoped you were safe."
Their voices were filled with joy, choking with tears, and more than anything, excitement at reuniting after a long time apart.
Adrian Lancaster stood nearby with his hands in his pockets, watching the scene, his heart deeply moved.
Faye sensed the deep affection from these two girls, although she hadn’t recalled them yet, she had learned from Rachel Sherman.
They were very close friends, and it had always been the two of them running the store diligently, as it was a partnership.
The more they earned, the higher the wages for these two girls.
"Tanya, Shannon," Faye smiled as she softly called out their names, "Thank you both."
The two girls froze, utterly shocked, and quickly released her, asking in unison—
"Have you regained your memory?! Do you remember us?!"
Even Adrian Lancaster was a bit surprised, this was truly fantastic! One by one, the people around her were being remembered! It wouldn’t be long before it was his turn, right?
"I want a caramel latte, please ask Mr. Lancaster what he would like to drink?" she softly spoke.
The two girls then looked toward Adrian Lancaster, quickly greeting him, "President Lancaster, hello!"
Shannon asked with a broad smile, "What would you like to drink?"
"I share the same taste as my wife." His expression was gentle, and his gaze was serene, subtly showing affection.
"Alright, please wait a moment." Shannon replied to them, "You two can sit over there."
There was a small seating area partitioned with white gauze curtains, offering slightly more privacy.
"Alright."
Then the two girls turned and went inside to attend to their tasks.
Faye slowly looked around; the store had a beautiful and comfortable environment, each decoration detail carefully crafted, surely done with much care back then.
The windows had a rustic style, which brought a certain charm even in a bustling city.
The two sat down at their place behind the white gauze; outside the window was a green plant, half the height of the window now, with two small white flowers blooming, their fragrance surprisingly refreshing.
"This is such a great place to unwind." Adrian Lancaster admired her, "To have such business acumen during college is not simple, not running her own store and even giving shares to the clerks."
"Human nature doesn’t allow testing," Faye answered softly, "President Lancaster, you’ve been in the business sphere for years, surely you understood this simple principle from a young age? If shares weren’t given, they’d see the job as mine, but now it’s different; they’re working for themselves."
Indeed, Adrian Lancaster nodded in full agreement.
