Chapter 754 Causing Trouble
Chapter 754 Causing Trouble
Whoosh!
Nolan appeared above the Demon Imperial Palace.
Looking at the massive palace before him, Nolan couldn't help but smile.
"It truly deserves to be called the greatest palace ever built," he murmured.
According to history, the Demon Imperial Palace was the most magnificent palace ever created.
Even the Imperial Palace of Velmora couldn't compare to it. After seeing it with his own eyes, Nolan had no choice but to admit that fact.
However, he hadn't come here to admire the architecture or appreciate its grandeur. He had come to cause trouble.
Nolan took a deep breath and clenched his left fist.
Suddenly, a gigantic hand more than ten meters tall materialized in the air. Upon closer inspection, the hand looked exactly like his own.
Without hesitation, Nolan swung his fist downward, and the giant hand followed his movement.
Boom!
A deafening explosion erupted as the massive fist slammed into the magical barrier protecting the palace.
Nolan wasn't discouraged. He had already expected a powerful barrier to stand in his way.
Boom!
Boom!
He kept attacking relentlessly, striking again and again.
The soldiers guarding the imperial palace were clearly unprepared for the sudden assault.
They scattered like ants whose nest had been disturbed, then quickly looked up at the sky.
The moment they saw the giant fist hovering above them, they froze in shock before their expressions twisted into fury.
"Who are you!? How dare you attack the Demon Emperor's palace!?" their leader demanded angrily.
Nolan stopped attacking. He looked down at them and revealed a faint smile.
"Summon your Demon Emperor to face me," he said calmly. "Otherwise, I'll keep attacking until this palace is reduced to rubble."
Without waiting for a response, he kept attacking again and again. The barrier protecting the imperial palace trembled violently, as if it could break at any moment.
The captain and his soldiers grew more and more panicked. They hadn't expected Nolan to stay so calm—instead, he was getting even bolder.
The captain quickly ordered one of his soldiers to report to the Demon Emperor immediately.
If not, the imperial palace would collapse, and that would cause unimaginable chaos.
Boom!
Boom!
Nolan didn't stop. He continued his relentless assault on the barrier, though not at full strength.
To him, the barrier protecting the imperial palace was relatively weak. He could easily destroy it with a black hole or his own spatial power.
But he didn't want to. It wouldn't be fun.
While he was still hammering the magical barrier, a cold voice suddenly echoed across the palace grounds.
"Stop!"
Whoosh!
A beam of light descended, and the figure of the Demon Emperor Zerathos emerged from within it.
Nolan looked at him and smiled faintly.
'So, this is Zerathos in his prime,' he muttered.
Zerathos had a tall, imposing build. His hair was blood-red, matching his eyes.
He wore black armor engraved with runes across its entire surface. Even his mere presence in the air was enough to make others tremble and instinctively want to kneel.
And Nolan had to admit—Zerathos was indeed handsome and imposing, a far cry from his future self, who looked like a worthless worm.
Nolan activated the Eyes of Chaos and looked into Zerathos's body.
Instantly, shock appeared on his face.
"What an enormous mana core!" he exclaimed in awe.
The mana core was the source of magical power possessed by every magic-wielding creature.
And Zerathos's mana core was ten—no, a hundred times larger than that of most celestial mages.
That could only mean one thing—his power had reached the Beyond the World level.
No, perhaps he had even surpassed that legendary realm and stepped into a level never recorded in history.
"No wonder he could wreak havoc across this continent and trigger a global crisis. With that kind of power, no one could stop him except the Dragon Ancestor," Nolan said honestly.
Even Malverna might not be able to defeat Zerathos standing before him.
Malverna herself was at the Beyond the World level, so her chances of victory were extremely slim.
"Who are you? What is your purpose in coming here?"
Zerathos's cold voice snapped Nolan out of his thoughts.
"My purpose?" Nolan blinked innocently, then gave a faint smile. "Nothing special. I just wanted to see how strong the Demon Emperor—feared by all living beings—really is. And it turns out you are indeed very strong, even beyond my imagination."
Nolan's praise did not please the Demon Emperor Zerathos. On the contrary, his expression darkened.
"What do you mean? You came here just to test me? On what grounds?"
Boom!
A surge of demonic power erupted from his body, sending a shockwave rippling outward.
Even the barrier protecting the imperial palace trembled violently under that pressure.
The soldiers below dropped to their knees, completely frozen and unable to move.
"Y-Your Majesty, please show mercy!" the captain pleaded, his voice trembling.
"Please spare us!" the other soldiers shouted, their faces pale with fear.
But Demon Emperor Zerathos ignored their pleas.
His eyes stayed fixed on Nolan, who hovered calmly in the air, completely unfazed.
'Who is this guy? How is he resisting my pressure?' Zerathos thought.
The pressure he had just released was enough to make the entire human alliance tremble in fear.
Even the Hero of Light and the Hero of Darkness would be affected by it, though not to the point of kneeling.
Yet the man before him remained completely unaffected, as if that terrifying pressure were nothing more than a passing breeze.
Nolan casually waved his hand. In an instant, Zerathos's pressure vanished without a trace.
"W-What!?" Zerathos's eyes widened in shock. "My pressure was dispelled just like that?!"
His gaze toward Nolan changed. The earlier contempt had completely vanished, replaced by sharp caution.
In this world, there were only three people capable of threatening him—the Hero of Light, the Hero of Darkness, and the Dragon Ancestor of the dragon race.
As for those two heroes, he still slightly underestimated them.
At the very least, they hadn't yet reached the level where he would need to take them seriously in a real fight.
And now, he had to add one more name to that list—the man standing before him.
"Why? Are you surprised?" Nolan asked with a faint chuckle.
The Demon Emperor Zerathos narrowed his eyes. He lowered his stance slightly, preparing to attack—but in that instant, Nolan moved first.
His figure shot forward like a bullet, moving so fast it looked as if he had pierced through space itself.
"Let's get this started!"
Boom!
His fist slammed into the Demon Emperor's face, sending him flying at lightning speed.
But Nolan didn't stop there. He raised his hand, and the space around Zerathos instantly froze.
His body—still hurtling through the air—came to an abrupt halt.
Then Nolan grinned.
"Today, I'll show you what true power looks like!"
With that, both of their figures vanished from sight.
