"Are the monsters there really that fierce?" Ling Feng asked.
Xiao Xiao nodded: "If the surrounding woods are places people fear to venture, then the Dark Forest is a death zone. I remember hearing that the strong ones in the village once tried to break in, only to not know how they died!"
"That formidable, huh!"
After thinking for a moment, Ling Feng smiled: "Danger and opportunity coexist. It’s not that easy for you to hold me back. Come with me; fighting stronger monsters levels you up faster!"
"What do you mean?"
Xiao Xiao looked confused, with a bewildered face.
"It’s fine. Don’t worry, just come with me. I’ll protect you!"

Mu Mu said proudly, sticking out her tongue.

The forest ahead underwent a noticeable change; while the trees on this side appeared normal with green leaves, the leaves on the other side were dark green, making the whole forest seem ominously dark from afar.
"Beyond that is the Dark Forest," Xiao Xiao remarked.
"Alright, even though I speak lightly of it, caution is imperative. Follow behind me, and let’s scout the inside first!" Ling Feng instructed.
"Understood, we won’t be a burden!" Xiao Xiao assured.
Ling Feng lifted the Blade of the Apocalypse, and the two girls each carried a Short Dagger as they moved forward into the forest.
Before reaching inside, a series of beastly growls echoed!
The roaring was earth-shattering; the trio even felt a wave of air sweep out from the forest!
Xiao Xiao and Mu Mu were visibly shaken, tightening their grips on their weapons.
Although slightly surprised, Ling Feng wasn’t frightened.
Turning to look at the two girls, he smiled and said: "If things get too dangerous, remember to turn around and run without hesitation!"

A piercing cry followed, and a massive beast burst from the undergrowth, roaring straight at Ling Feng!
