Chapter 606 - 27: Vajra’s Wrathful Gaze

Chen Tang rushed into the thick smoke and after only a few steps, he saw Luo Sha, her face drained of color in fear, groping around helplessly and calling out.

Her whole body was smoked gray by the thick smoke, her long hair curled from the heat, and her arms and abdomen were injured, seeping with bright red blood.

Luo Sha thought for a moment and said, "I remember it was behind the Mahayana Buddha Palace, across a sky bridge over a canyon, on another peak. But there’s smoke everywhere, I can’t see the way."

"Just remember the approximate location."

Following Luo Sha’s words, Chen Tang ran towards the back of the Mahayana Buddha Palace.

Once he reached the rear hall of the Mahayana Buddha Palace, his surroundings became much quieter.

Following Luo Sha’s instructions, Chen Tang fumbled his way and quickly found the sky bridge spanning over the canyon.

Chen Tang crossed over, and soon saw a magnificent palace.

The monks guarding near the palace had already fled, leaving the surroundings empty.

As Chen Tang walked into the palace, he felt a sense of oppression.

Around the entrance of the palace stood five tall and majestic Guardian Stone Statues, about five zhang high, each in a different pose, overlooking Chen Tang and Luo Sha as they walked in.

These Guardian Stone Statues did not possess any aura of solemnity, peace, or harmony; instead, they exuded a hint of evil, each glaring and baring its teeth, as if ready to devour Chen Tang and Luo Sha whole!

One had three faces and six arms, with a fierce and imposing demeanor, possessing nine heads, each crowned with skulls.

One had eyes wide open, with pupils almost popping out, glittering with golden light, dazzling to behold.

One had four heads and three eyes, with a blue body, wearing a jeweled crown.

Another had a red body, eight heads, standing on a lotus throne.

There was also a male-female dual body, entangled in a special posture, indistinguishable from one another, with expressions of joy.

"These are the five major Dharma Protector Vajras of the Esoteric Sect."

Luo Sha whispered softly.

These Dharma Protector Vajras, some with three heads and six arms, others with up to twenty or thirty arms, each holding different Dharma artifacts such as Vajra Pestle, Lotus, Treasure Sword, Bow and Arrow made of human bone.

If it were an ordinary person, suddenly seeing such terrifying statues would indeed be greatly shocked, unable to resist the urge to pay homage.
