NFL pass-rush duo no. 4: Philadelphia Eagles — Haason Redick, Josh Sweat

If we were ranking every NFL pass rush unit for 2023, the Philadelphia Eagles might just be at the very top. The Eagles brought waves of pass rush last season from every angle, boasting one of the deepest and most dangerous groups on the defensive line of any team in the league.

As mentioned previously, the Eagles ranked 1st in the NFL with nearly four sacks per game in 2022. This is a team that consistently got after the quarterback and filled up the stat sheet with seemingly every player on the defensive front racking up double-digit sacks. The star of the unit was free agent acquisition Haason Reddick, who came to the Eagles after bouncing around the league a bit between the Cardinals and Panthers. Over the last three seasons and with three different teams, Reddick has racked up nearly 40 sacks including a career-best 16 in 2022. He forced five fumbles and also added 41 pressures and 26 QB hits.

His production was outstanding, but not to be outdone was Josh Sweat. Sweat had a very quiet Pro Bowl bid in 2021 before an outstanding follow-up campaign in 2022. He finished last season with 11.0 sacks, 23 QB hits, and 27 pressures. Sweat has consistently been getting better for the Eagles and finally broke the double-digit sack mark in 2022.

With Redick and Sweat getting after the quarterback, not even the loss of Javon Hargrave can deter this Philadelphia Eagles pass rush from ranking among the top five in the entire league.
