The 2023 NFL season is once again shaping up to be a wild one. Let’s make 10 bold predictions for the upcoming year. Will any come true?  There are so many crazy storylines to follow in 2023.  With new coaches in new places, elite players on new teams, and exciting rookie quarterbacks, there are endless possibilities for 2023.

However, with that being the case, there will still be a ton of unsurprising things happening.  Guess what, the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals are going to be very good.  The Philadelphia Eagles are probably going to be good as well.

Between what we expect to happen, there are bound to be things that make our jaws drop in awe.  We could spend days trying to come up with bold predictions as the NFL is a league filled with uncertainty between all the expected.

So, let’s take a stab at making 10 bold predictions for the 2023 NFL season.

2023 NFL Season: 10 bold predictions for the new year

No. 1: Sean Payton leads Denver Broncos to 10 wins and a playoff berth

Sean Payton turned the 2005 New Orleans Saints, who went 3-13 that year, into a 10-6 playoff team in 2006, his first year as head coach in the NFL.  He boasted a top-five scoring offense and the 13th ranked scoring defense.  And he was a rookie head coach.

I don’t think its out of the possibility that Payton, who is much more experienced now, can enact the immediate change in 2023 with the Denver Broncos that he did in 2006 with the Saints.  He has a Super Bowl-winning QB who has played quite well in training camp and one of the better defenses in the NFL.

The Denver Broncos are surely not yet a Super Bowl contender, but it’s hard to not like what they have done.  They are ready to win under Sean Payton, and it’ll pay off immediately.
